I will be going over basic programming instructions for your OrangeiOT Lock. Owning an OrangeiOT Lock and knowing how to use and program the lock is something you should know. Read below to know some instructions on how to program your OrangeiOT Lock. 

How to Reset OrangeiOT Lock

There may be a time when you need to reset your OrangeiOT Lock for a few reasons, one you are selling it and replacing it with a new one.

You may also need to do a reset if you are experiencing a glitch/bug. Whatever the reason it doing a reset on your OrangeiOT Lock is only a few easy steps.

Note, doing a reset will erase all codes including the master code, you will have to reprogram your lock from the beginning. Before doing the reset, keep your door open so you do not get locked out of your home. 

  1. Remove the Battery Cover on your lock.
  2. You will see a tiny hole, that is the reset button. You will need a paperclip, toothpick, or anything small to press the reset button. 
  3. Press and hold the reset button.
  4. While you are still holding the reset button remove one battery and put it back in.
  5. When the battery is back in continue to hold the reset button for a few more seconds.
  6. When you hear a beep you can release the reset button. The reset is now complete. 

How to Change OrangeiOT Code

When you first buy your new OrangeiOT Lock it will come with an 8-digit Master Code ( also known as the Programming Code). This code will allow you to change any settings and programming.

You will use the programming code to set your Master Code, your master code will allow you to change codes, and settings in your OrangeiOT Lock.

Note, if you already have a Master Code set you will use this code to change the code to a new one. Follow these steps to change your OrangeiOT code. 

  1. On your OrangeiOT Lock Keypad, press the OrangeiOT button 2 times. 
  2. Put in your default programming code (if you have not yet created a master code).
  3. Press the OrangeiOT button again and wait until you see one long green flash and hear a beep.
  4. Press 1 and enter the new personal 4-8 digit master code.
  5. Press the OrangeiOT button.
  6. Re-enter the new master code.
  7. Press the OrangeiOT button once more. You will see the lock flash light green, now your new master code will be set.

How to Add A New User Code 

Your OrangeiOT Lock can store up to 20 different users each with their own person user code to unlock your door. Follow the steps below to add a new user to your OrangeiOT Lock. 

  1. Press the OrangeiOT button on your keypad 2 times.
  2. Enter your current master code.
  3. Press the OrangeiOT button.
  4. Press 2. 
  5. Enter the new User Code.
  6. Press the OrangeiOT button.
  7. Re-enter the new User Code.
  8. Press the OrangeiOT Code once again.
  1. Your lock will flash green letting you know the new User Code is set and ready to use.

How to Create A One-TIme Code

There may be a time when you need to set a one-time code on your OrangeiOT Lock. Maybe there is a repair man coming and you will not be home, or you have a guest staying for the weekend.

Whatever the reason is you can set a one-time code on your OrangeiOT Lock. This code will be deleted automatically once used, meaning it can only be used on your lock once. Follow these steps below to create a One-Time User Code for your OrangeiOT Lock. 

  1. Press the OrangeiOT button on your keypad 2 times.
  2. Enter your current Master Code.
  3. Press the OrangeiOT button.
  4. Press 7.
  5. Enter your new One-Time User Code.
  6. Press the OrangeiOT button.
  7. Re-enter the new One-TIme User Code once more.
  8. Press the OrangeiOT button again, setting your new One-Time User Code.

How to Delete A User Code 

You can delete an existing code on your OrangeiOT Lock, when you delete this user code the user will no longer have access to your home. These steps are easy to follow even if you have multiple user codes set on your lock. Follow these steps to delete a user code on your OrangeiOT Lock.

  1. On your keypad press the OrangeiOT button 2 times.
  2. Enter your current personal Master Code.
  3. Press the OrangeiOT button.
  4. Press 3 on your keypad.
  5. Enter the User Code you want to be deleted.
  6. Press the OrangeiOT button once again, this will complete the process.

How to Enable/Disable Auto-Lock

Setting an Auto-Lock is a great feature when you tend to lock the door behind you. Keeping your door locked even when you are home can make you feel more secure, setting an Auto-Lock will put your mind at peace knowing that your door will lock even when you forget. Follow these steps to Enable and Disable your OrangeiOT Lock.

Enable Auto-Lock On Your OrangeiOT Lock

  1. Press the OrangeiOT button on your keypad 2 times.
  2. Enter your current personal Master Code.
  3. Press the OrangeiOT once more.
  4. Press 5 and then press 1.
  5. Press the OrangeiOT button to enable Auto-Lock.

Disable Auto-Lock On Your OrangeiOT Lock

  1. Press the OrangeiOT button on your keypad 2 times.
  2. Enter your current personal Master Code.
  3. Press the OrangeiOT button again.
  4. Press 5 and then press 2.
  5. Press the OrangeiOT button to disable Auto-Lock.

Auto-Lock Time-Delay Settings

When you set your Auto-Lock you might not want it to lock right away instead you want it to lock 30 seconds after you close the door. You can set the Auto-Lock Time-Delay settings on your OrangeiOT Lock from 10 to 99 seconds. Follow these steps to set your Auto-Lock Time-Delay on your OrangeiOT Lock.

  1. On your Keypad press the OrangeiOT button 2 times.
  2. Enter your current personal Master Code.
  3. Press the OrangeiOT button once again.
  4. Press 8.
  5. Enter your preferred time delay (10-99 seconds).
  6. Press the OrangeiOT button to set your time delay.

How to Enable/Disable Vacation Mode

The OrangeiOT Lock has a Vacation Mode feature. This is a great feature when you are planning to leave your house for a long period of time.

When you have the Vacation Mode set on your OrangeiOT Lock this will make all User Codes inactive.

This means that even though somebody has a User Code to unlock your door when the Vacation Mode is enabled they can not access your home until the Vacation Mode is disabled.

You can use your Vacation Mode temporarily as well if you do not want anyone to access your home besides you. Follow these easy steps to enable and disable your Vacation Mode on your OrangeiOT Lock.

Enable Vacation Mode On Your OrangeiOT Lock

  1. Press the OrangeiOT button 2 times on your keypad.
  2. Enter your current person’s, Master Code.
  3. Press the OrangeiOT button once again.
  4. Press 6 and then press the OrangeiOT button again.
  5. This will Enable your Vacation Mode making all User Codes unable to unlock your OrangeiOT Lock.

Disable Vacation Mode

  1. Enter your current personal Master Code on your keypad.
  2. Press the OrangeiOT button, this will disable the Vacation Mode, and Unlock your OrangeiOT Lock.

How to Unlock/Lock An OrangeiOT Keyless Entry Lock

The last thing to go over in this guide is how to unlock and lock your OrangeiOT Lock, this is an easy step. You will need your current personal Master Code or your User Code.

Your OrangeiOT Lock can have up to 20 User Codes, so whoever has a User Code can unlock your door. At any point you do not want someone to have access to your lock you can delete User Codes. Follow these easy steps to Unlock and Lock your OrangeiOT Keyless Entry Lock.

Unlock Your OrangeiOT Keyless Entry Lock From Outside 

  1. On your keypad enter your User Code or your current personal Master Code.
  2. Press the OrangeiOT button once, this will unlock your door giving you access inside your home.

Unlock Your OrangeiOT Keyless Entry Lock From Inside

  1. Rotate the thumb turn to the unlock potion.

Lock Your OrangeiOT Keyless Entry Lock From Outside

  1. On the keypad press and hold any key for a few seconds.
  2. Once you hear your deadbolt lock then the door is locked and secure.

Lock Your OrangeiOT Keyless Entry Lock From Inside

  1. Rotate the thumb turn to the lock potion to lock your door from the inside.
