Do you find yourself in a situation where you want to create a new user code, delete an existing one, or set up a feature such as vacation mode, only to find that you don’t remember the programming code?
What worse, you may have changed the default programming code, so the default code written on the inside of the lock or on the user manual is now useless to you?
Do not fret. Whatever your situation, you can easily and very quickly reset your Schlage lock to factory settings, no matter the model, and restore the default user codes and programming code. You can then go ahead to create a new programming code and perform any other tasks that you wish to.
I strongly recommend that you resist the temptation of retaining the default programming code because this will expose you to security risks. Create a new code that is memorable to you instead, while keeping it as hard to guess as possible.
