Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt Programming Instructions

With the Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt, you’re able to program up to 10 different user codes everyone in your household can have their own personal code to unlock the door.

You can also set a one-time code to give to your friends and family members who are visiting you and this code will be deleted once it is used. In this guide, I will be going over how to program your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt. 

How to Reset Gatehouse Electronic Lock

One thing you should know how to do is reset your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt. There could be a time when you need to reset your lock due to having technical issues or want to reset your smart lock to the factory settings and start all over again. Follow these steps to reset your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt. 

  1. Go to your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt keypad.
  2. You will need to access your batteries and remove your interior assembly cover.
  3. Remove one battery.
  4. Press and hold the SET button.
  5. Put the battery back in the correct spot while still holding the SET button.
  6. Release the SET button.
  7. You will hear the lock beep twice and see the green light, the reset to your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt.

How to Change Gatehouse Electronic Lock Code 

When you first buy a Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt it comes with a preset programming code. You will want to set a new one right away, your own personal programming code that only you know.

This programming code will be needed whenever you want to access the features on your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt. Follow the steps below to set/change the programming code on your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt.

Note, the programming code is also the master code, set it to a personal code for your security. The preset code is– 123456

  1. Go to the keypad, you will need to access the SET button which is located on the inside of the interior assembly.
  2. Remove the cover on the interior assembly.
  3. Press and hold the SET button for a couple of seconds.
  4. You will see the light flash red and hear the lock beep twice.
  5. Enter the preset or current programming code.
  6. Press the Lock button.
  7. Enter 10 on the keypad.
  8. Press the Lock button again.
  9. Enter your new personal 6-digit programming code.
  10. Press the Lock button once more.
  11. You will see the red light for about 10 seconds, this will indicate that your new programming/master code is now active.

How to Add A New User Code

Each person in your household as well as people who you trust and come over frequently can have their own user code to access your home.

This allows each person to unlock the door without having to have individual physical keys. Follow these steps to add a new user code to your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt. Note, each code can be between 4 to 6 digits. 

  1. Remove the cover of the interior assembly to access the SET button.
  2. Press and hold the SET button until you hear the lock beep 2 times and see it flash red  Doing this action puts your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt into programming mode.
  3. Enter your current personal programming code.
  4. Press the Lock button.
  5. On the keypad enter 20.
  6. Press the Lock button again.
  7. Enter the new 4 to 6-digit user code.
  8. Press the Lock button once more.
  9. You will see the red light illuminate the keypad for about 10 seconds indicating that your new user code is now added.

How to Delete A User Code

Follow these steps to delete a user code from your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt. 

Delete One User Code

  1. Remove the cover of your interior assembly to access the SET button
  2. Press and hold the SET button for a couple of seconds until you see the light turn red and hear a beep 2 times.
  3. On your keypad enter your current personal programming code.
  4. Press the Lock button.
  5. Enter the number 30.
  6. Press the Lock button again.
  7. Enter the user code you want to be deleted.
  8. Press the Lock button once more.
  9. The red light will appear for a few seconds this indicates that the user code is now deleted.

Delete All User Codes

  1. Remove the cover of your interior assembly to access the SET button.
  2. Press and hold the SET button for a couple of seconds, you will see the light turn red and hear a beep 2 times.
  3. On the keypad enter your current personal programming code.
  4. Press the Lock button.
  5. Enter the number 40.
  6. Press the Lock button again.
  7. Press and hold the C (Clear) button for a few seconds.
  8. You will see the green light turn on and hear the beep once, the green light will then turn on for 10 seconds indicating that all user codes have been deleted.

How to Enable/Disable Auto-Lock

The auto-lock feature is wonderful to have when you tend to forget to lock the door behind you at home. The auto-lock will lock the door for you, if you set a time delay it will lock at your desired time. Follow these steps to Enable/Disable the auto-lock on your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt. 

  1. The auto-lock function is located inside the lock’s interior assembly, removing the cover to access the auto-lock button.
  2. Switch the auto-lock function to ON, this will activate the auto-lock. 
  3. To disable the auto-lock you will want to switch the button to OFF. 

Note, if your lock does not have an auto-lock switch you can enable the auto-lock via the keypad. Press and hold the SET button, enter your programming code, and press the lock button. Enter the number 80, and the lock button, Enter the number 0 and the lock button, this will enable the auto-lock. If you want to disable the auto-lock do all those steps but instead of pressing 0 and the Lock button, you will press 1 and the Lock button. 

Auto-Lock Time-Delay Settings 

When you have the auto-lock function enabled you can set a delay time setting, this will automatically lock your door after the desired time set. Follow these steps to set an auto-lock time delay on your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt.

  1. Press and hold the SET button for a few seconds, once it beeps let it go.
  2. Enter your programming code.
  3. Press the Lock button.
  4. Enter the number 70.
  5. Press the Lock button.
  6. Enter desired time (10–90 seconds).
  7. Press the Lock button.

How to Enable/Disable Vacation Mode

Vacation Mode is a feature on the Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt that allows you to disable all user codes while you are away from your home for a long period of time.

When all the user codes are disabled this means no one can access your home unless they know your current personal programming code.

Note, you might want to change your current programming code before you do this to be more secure. Follow these steps to enable and disable your vacation mode on your Gatehouse Electronic Deadbolt.

  1. Access your SET button by removing the cover of your interior assembly.
  2. Press and hold the SET button for a couple of seconds until you hear it beep twice and the light turns red.
  3. On your keypad enter your current programming code.
  4. Press the Lock button.
  5. Enter the number 50.
  6. Press the Lock button.
  7. Enter the number 0.
  8. Press the Lock button again.
  9. Wait a few seconds until you hear a beep and the red light is no longer on.
  10. Try to enter a user code to test to see if the vacation mode is enabled.

To disable the vacation mode follow the steps above but instead of pressing 0 and the lock button. You will press 1 and the lock button which will deactivate the vacation mode. 

How to Unlock/Lock An Gatehouse Electronic Keyless Entry Lock

Follow these steps to unlock and lock your Gatehouse Electronic Keyless Entry Lock.

Unlock from Outside: Enter User code to unlock the deadbolt.

Unlock from Inside: Turn the thumb turn to the unlock potion.

Lock for the Outside: Press the lock button on the keypad.

Lock from Inside: Turn the thumb to the lock potion. 

Note, the lock does come with a physical key if you are experiencing any technical issues with your lock and need to get inside.
